What body lotion works best for dry skin?

As the seasons change, many of us are battling dry skin, making it crucial to find an effective body lotion. The market is flooded with options, each claiming to deliver ultimate hydration. Some swear by rich creams, while others find lighter lotions that soak in quickly to be their preference.

For those who have dealt with dry skin, what products have you found most effective? Are there specific brands or ingredients that have made a noticeable difference? I’m especially interested in suggestions that work well for medium golden skin tones, as a good lotion can enhance both appearance and feel.

Also, do you have any tips for applying body lotion for maximum benefit? I’d love to hear your recommendations!

I’ve tried a bunch, and honestly, I think CeraVe’s lotion is pretty solid for dry skin. It has ceramides which really help lock in moisture without feeling greasy. As for application, I usually put it on right after showering when my skin is still slightly damp; seems to help it absorb better!

Have you tried using lotions with hyaluronic acid or shea butter? Those have worked wonders for my dry skin, especially after a shower when your skin is still a bit damp. Also, I find that massaging it in really helps it absorb better—maybe give that a shot!
