Getting your skin ready for makeup can really make a difference in how your look turns out. It seems like there are endless products and techniques out there, so it’s worth discussing what works best.
Cleansing and moisturizing are often highlighted as essentials. However, what do people think about using primers? Are they truly necessary, or can you achieve a great base without them? Also, how does skin type affect your preparation routine?
Let’s share our tips and experiences! What steps do you never skip when prepping your skin for makeup?
I think primers can make a difference, especially if you’re dealing with pores or want your makeup to last longer. But if you have combo or oily skin, sometimes a good moisturizer can do the trick on its own. I’m really into using an exfoliating toner the night before too; it helps my skin feel smoother for makeup application. What about you?
I don’t always use a primer, honestly. Sometimes just a good moisturizer and sunscreen do the trick for me. I find if my skin is hydrated, I don’t need the extra layer, but for some, it seems to really help smooth things out. It probably depends on your skin type too.
