I recently indulged in a facial, excited for that sought-after glow, but instead, I was left with an oily complexion that just wouldn’t budge. It’s disappointing to expect freshness and end up feeling slick! After some research, I think I’ve pinpointed a few reasons for this.
One factor could be the moisturizing products used during the facial. Even those formulated for oily skin might be too much for some of us, leading to that extra shine. Additionally, the steam and extractions often stimulate oil production, which can also contribute to the slick feeling.
Another thing to consider is how our skin reacts post-cleanse. While deep cleansing is great for clearing pores, it can sometimes cause our skin to overcompensate by producing more oil. I’ve found that using a lightweight moisturizer or gel afterward can help restore balance. Have you dealt with similar post-facial oiliness? What products or routines have you tried that worked for you? Let’s share our experiences!
