Lately, I’ve been taking a good look at my lipstick collection and it’s starting to feel a bit overwhelming. I have so many shades and finishes that I often forget what I actually own, leading me to reach for the same few favorites over and over. It seems wasteful to have all these options that aren’t getting used. Maybe it’s time for a declutter?
On one hand, I appreciate having a diverse range of colors for different occasions. On the other hand, my sensitive skin raises concerns about product expiration and the potential for bacteria growth in makeup that sits unused for too long. I want to find a sensible way to downsize without parting with too much that I love.
I’m thinking of sorting my lipsticks by color or finish, and creating a ‘keep’ and ‘donate’ pile could be a fun way to refresh my collection. Have any of you gone through a similar experience?
