Hello everyone! I’ve recently been exploring different sunscreens, particularly in my quest to find the right one for my oily skin while also tackling maskne. La Roche-Posay seems to have a great reputation, but I’m a bit confused about the differences between their mineral and chemical sunscreens.
From what I’ve learned, La Roche-Posay offers both types. Their mineral sunscreens generally contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, which act as a physical barrier to shield the skin from UV rays. In contrast, their chemical options often feature ingredients like avobenzone or octisalate, which absorb UV rays instead of blocking them.
If you have oily skin, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Do you prefer one type over the other? And how do these sunscreens work with your skincare routine, especially if you use salicylic acid or lightweight moisturizers? Let’s share our experiences!
