Is Toner Essential for Your Skincare Routine?

Toners have been a popular part of skincare routines for quite some time, but their necessity has come under scrutiny lately, particularly for those with oily or combination skin. Personally, I’ve found that lightweight serums, such as niacinamide and green tea, do wonders for controlling oil and calming redness. This leads me to question whether toner is truly a necessary step for me.

When I first embarked on my skincare journey, I believed that using toner was crucial for balancing my skin after cleansing. However, as I’ve delved deeper into the world of skincare ingredients and formulations, I’ve come to understand that not all toners are beneficial. Some can be harsh or drying, while others may not provide significant advantages if your skin is already in balance. For those already incorporating targeted treatments, skipping toner might simplify the routine.

I’d love to hear from everyone else! Have you noticed any changes in your skin after skipping toner? What role do you think toner plays in an effective skincare routine? Let’s share our experiences and insights!
