I wanted to share my journey with benzoyl peroxide for acne, as it’s a popular topic for many of us experiencing breakouts. After using a benzoyl peroxide treatment for a few months, I’ve found it to be quite effective for my skin. At first, I was concerned about its reputation for being harsh, but I quickly learned that the right application can make a significant difference.
I use a low concentration (2.5%) benzoyl peroxide gel, applying it sparingly to my blemishes. It has really helped reduce inflammation and accelerate the healing process without excessively drying out my skin. I’ve also found that pairing it with a good moisturizer is essential for maintaining balance. Consistency has been key for me, so I make sure to use it regularly to see the best results.
Have any of you incorporated benzoyl peroxide into your skincare routine? What concentrations or products have you found most effective? I’d love to hear your experiences and any tips you might want to share!
