Is a Simple Skincare Routine Enough for Healthy Skin?

I’ve been following a simple three-step skincare routine for a while now: a gentle cleanser, a good moisturizer, and a ceramide cream. I’ve always believed in keeping things basic and have steered clear of the latest skincare trends. Lately, though, I’ve been hearing more about the advantages of adding serums and treatments for issues like hydration and anti-aging.

As someone with normal skin, I’m starting to wonder if I should think about expanding my routine. Can a minimalist approach truly cover all my skin’s needs, or am I potentially missing out on something beneficial? There’s so much information out there, and I really don’t want to complicate what currently works for me.

Has anyone else struggled with this choice? How do you know when it’s time to stick with what you have or introduce new products? I’d love to hear about your experiences with simplifying or enhancing your routines.
