Incorporating Exfoliation into Your Skincare Routine

Hello, beauty enthusiasts! Lately, I’ve been exploring the ins and outs of skincare, especially since I’m eager to keep my dry skin smooth for those vibrant lip looks. I’ve been curious about where exfoliation fits into our routines.

From what I’ve discovered, the best time to exfoliate is right after cleansing and before applying toner or serums. This allows you to remove dead skin cells, making it easier for your other products to sink in. For my dry skin, I prefer using a gentle chemical exfoliant a few times a week to avoid irritation while still achieving that polished finish.

Timing also plays a crucial role. Exfoliating at night can significantly enhance the absorption of your hydrating products, ensuring your skin feels nourished by morning. Plus, it provides a smooth base for makeup application the next day!

How do you all fit exfoliation into your routines? Do you lean towards physical or chemical exfoliants? Have you noticed any differences in your makeup application after exfoliating?
