How to Prevent Under-Eye Creasing with Concealer

If you have oily skin like me, you know how challenging it can be to find a concealer that stays put without settling into fine lines. After experimenting with different techniques, I’ve discovered a few tips that really help keep my under-eyes looking smooth throughout the day.

First and foremost, hydration is crucial. Applying a lightweight gel-based eye cream before your concealer can make a significant difference. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t add extra oil, which is perfect for my skin type. When it comes to applying concealer, I recommend using a small amount and blending it gently with your ring finger or a damp beauty sponge. The warmth from your fingers helps the product meld into your skin better.

Setting your concealer is also important, especially for those of us with oily skin. A light dusting of translucent powder can help keep everything in place. I use a fluffy brush to gently tap the powder on, being careful not to disturb the concealer underneath. If you’re worried about looking too matte, a spritz of setting spray can provide a touch of hydration while locking everything down.
