I’ve been looking into ways to address dark spots on my skin, and I keep coming across the suggestion to use sunscreen. I’m curious about how effective it really is for this specific issue. Can anyone share insights on whether sunscreen helps fade existing dark spots, or is its main role to prevent new ones from appearing?
From what I understand, sunscreen protects against UV rays that can make hyperpigmentation worse. This makes daily application seem crucial for preventing further dark spots. But what about the ones I already have? Are there particular types of sunscreen that are better for helping with fading these spots over time?
Also, if you have oily skin like I do, I’d love to hear your recommendations for lightweight sunscreens that won’t leave a greasy feel. Simplifying my routine is key, especially since I also deal with breakouts in my T-zone.
What has been your experience with sunscreen and dark spots? Any tips or product suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
