How do you choose the right daily sunscreen?

Choosing a daily sunscreen can be quite a challenge with so many options available. For those new to using sunscreen, understanding what to prioritize—like SPF levels, specific ingredients, or how it feels on your skin—can be confusing.

Some people have strong preferences between mineral and chemical sunscreens. Others find that texture is key, whether it’s gel, cream, or spray. If you have fair skin with cool undertones, I’d love to hear your recommendations for brands that work well.

What factors do you consider most important when selecting a sunscreen? Any tips on how to find the perfect fit for different skin types?

I totally get the struggle! For me, the texture is huge—I’m not a fan of anything too greasy. Have you tried looking into tinted sunscreens? They usually provide good coverage and can help with any white cast. What have you found so far that you like?

I just started using a mineral sunscreen and really like how it’s not greasy at all. I’ve got fair skin too, and the Supergoop Mineral Sunscreen has worked pretty well for me. I think texture is super important, especially if you want to wear it under makeup!
