Finding Gentle Retinoids for Sensitive Skin Types

Navigating the world of retinoids can be tricky, especially for those of us with sensitive skin. I have normal-to-dry skin and have found that incorporating gentle retinoids has made a positive difference in my routine, particularly for addressing mild pigmentation. Products like retinyl palmitate and encapsulated retinol are great options that offer benefits without causing irritation.

To enhance my results, I usually layer a ceramide cream after applying retinoids. This helps to lock in moisture and strengthen my skin barrier, which is especially beneficial during colder months when my skin tends to dry out. I’ve also started using antioxidant serums, especially those infused with vitamin C, to further boost my skincare results and tackle pigmentation issues.

I’m curious to hear about your experiences with gentle retinoids! What products have you tried that worked well for your skin? How do you adjust your routine to ensure you get the most out of your retinoids while keeping irritation at bay?
