Exploring Red Light Therapy for Acne While Traveling

As a flight attendant, my skin endures a lot of stress, particularly with breakouts. The dry air in airplanes and fluctuating climates can be tough on my skin, so I’m always searching for solutions that fit into my busy travel routine. Lately, I’ve been hearing about red light therapy as a potential aid for acne, and I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences.

Red light therapy targets acne-causing bacteria, reduces inflammation, and encourages healing—all without being invasive. I recently started using a portable red light device during my layovers, and I find it surprisingly easy to incorporate into my skincare routine. It fits conveniently in my luggage, and I can use it right in my hotel room, making it a practical choice for my travels.

I’m still experimenting with the ideal treatment frequency and duration to achieve consistent results. Have any of you tried red light therapy for your skin? What has your experience been like? How do you keep up with your skincare while on the road? I’d love to hear your insights!
