Selecting the appropriate SPF is crucial, especially for those with fair skin. A higher SPF provides more protection, but keep in mind that no sunscreen can block 100% of UV rays. For everyday use, an SPF of 30 is typically recommended, while higher SPFs are beneficial for prolonged sun exposure.
It’s also important to remember that SPF only indicates UVB protection; it doesn’t cover UVA rays, which can also damage the skin. Opt for broad-spectrum sunscreens that guard against both types.
