Essential Skincare Tips for Long Flights

As a flight attendant, I’ve learned the importance of maintaining healthy skin during long flights. The combination of dry cabin air and changing climates can really take a toll. If you have combination skin like I do, finding the right routine can make all the difference. Here are a few simple tips that have worked wonders for me.

First and foremost, hydration is crucial. I always apply a hydrating serum or a lightweight moisturizer before boarding to help shield my skin from the dryness. During the flight, I keep a facial mist handy and spritz it on every couple of hours. It’s a refreshing way to revive my skin without adding weight.

I also recommend skipping heavy makeup while traveling. Instead, I use a tinted moisturizer or BB cream for light coverage that allows my skin to breathe. A cream highlighter can add a nice glow without feeling too heavy. And don’t forget your lips—a good lip balm is essential for preventing dryness!
