Hi everyone! I’m on a journey to reduce dark spots, and as a 24-year-old Latina with oily skin, I truly understand the challenges. There are so many products out there claiming to help, but I want something that won’t leave my skin looking overly shiny or clog my pores. I’d love to share what’s been working for me and hear your recommendations as well!
I’ve discovered that ingredients like vitamin C and niacinamide can make a significant difference. They brighten my complexion and help diminish dark spots without adding excess oil. Additionally, I prefer gel moisturizers for hydration without the greasy feel, and I can’t stress enough how important lightweight sunscreens are! Skipping SPF has led to my spots getting darker in the past.
Clay masks have also become essential in my routine, especially during those oilier days. They help control shine and keep my pores looking refined. I’m curious to know what products or routines you all find effective for managing dark spots while dealing with oily skin. What are your favorite tricks to keep shine in check while addressing those pesky spots?
