Hi everyone! I’ve been exploring skincare lately, especially ways to manage and prevent dark spots. With my normal skin and deep warm undertones, I’m particularly interested in how sunscreen fits into this process. We often hear that sunscreen is vital for skin protection, but does it actually help keep existing dark spots from getting worse?
From what I’ve gathered, sunscreen is essential for preventing new hyperpigmentation, but it may not be sufficient on its own to lighten or prevent the darkening of spots that are already present. It provides a protective barrier against UV rays, which can exacerbate pigmentation issues, but I think incorporating additional treatments like vitamin C serums or exfoliants could enhance our skincare routines.
I’m particularly passionate about using vegan beauty products and love plant-based oils for their nourishing benefits. I’d love to hear your experiences! What products or routines have you found effective for managing dark spots? How do you like to combine sunscreen with other treatments?
