I’ve been reflecting on the role of fragrance in skincare lately, especially as I’ve noticed some of my pigmentation issues becoming more apparent. With a normal-to-dry complexion and medium golden skin tone, I typically use gentle retinoids and ceramide creams. However, I can’t shake the feeling that the fragrances in some of my go-to products might be making my skin more sensitive and exacerbating my pigmentation concerns.
From what I’ve learned, certain fragrances can cause irritation, which may worsen pigmentation for those of us already dealing with these challenges. While I know antioxidants can help, I’m eager to hear from others. Have you experienced any link between fragrance in your products and changes in your skin’s pigmentation?
I’d love to know your experiences! Have you found that removing specific fragrant items from your routine made a difference? Or do you believe that fragrance is not a problem if the rest of the formulation is beneficial? Let’s share insights to help each other out!
