Does Dehydration Contribute to Acne Breakouts?

I’ve been exploring the link between hydration and skin health lately, especially as I love experimenting with bold goth makeup. It made me wonder: can not drinking enough water actually lead to breakouts? My skin tends to be a mix of dry and oily, and I’ve noticed that on days when I forget to hydrate, my complexion doesn’t look or feel its best.

From what I’ve learned, dehydration can disrupt oil production, which might clog pores and lead to acne. It seems that when our skin lacks moisture, it compensates by producing more oil, definitely not what we want when trying to maintain clear skin while rocking darker looks. Additionally, dehydrated skin can become irritated, potentially worsening existing breakouts.
