I’ve been reflecting on sheet masks lately and I’m starting to think they might be more about the enjoyable experience than the actual skincare benefits. They can definitely be a fun part of my self-care routine, but I often find myself questioning their effectiveness. With my sensitive skin, I usually choose cooling masks or anti-redness options, but sometimes I feel more relaxed than rejuvenated after using a sheet mask.
The calming ritual of applying a sheet mask—taking a moment for myself and enjoying the cooling sensation—is wonderful. However, when I look for visible improvements in my skin afterward, the results can be a bit disappointing. While the immediate hydration feels nice, the long-term effects seem minimal. I’m curious if anyone else feels the same way.
Have you discovered any sheet masks that truly deliver noticeable results? Or do you view them more as a treat rather than an essential part of your skincare routine? What are your favorite masks that work well for your skin type? I’d love to hear your experiences!
