Do Dogs Like Perfume? Share Your Thoughts!

I’ve been intrigued by how our dogs react to different scents, particularly perfumes. As someone who enjoys wearing various fragrances, I often wonder if my dog enjoys the scents I choose or if they find them too strong. Given that dogs have a vastly different sense of smell than we do, it’s fascinating to think about how they perceive our favorite scents!

From what I’ve read, dogs can be quite sensitive to strong odors, including those found in perfumes. Their sense of smell is much more advanced than ours, so a fragrance that we find delightful might be overwhelming for them. I’ve noticed my dog seems to sniff around curiously when I wear floral or fruity scents, but I can’t quite decipher if he’s intrigued or just puzzled.

Have you ever paid attention to how your dog reacts to your perfume? Do they seem to enjoy it, or do they back away? I’d love to hear your stories and any suggestions you have for selecting dog-friendly scents. Are there particular fragrances your pets seem to love?
