Dealing with Oily Skin During Pregnancy: Tips and Insights

Pregnancy can bring a whirlwind of changes to our bodies, and for many of us, that includes oilier skin. If you’ve noticed your face becoming more shiny than usual, you’re definitely not alone! Hormonal shifts, particularly the rise in progesterone, can boost oil production, making it a challenge to manage, especially for those with combination skin.

Personally, I’ve experienced this too. While my skin sometimes feels excessively oily, it often leads to breakouts, which can be frustrating. To cope, I’ve adjusted my skincare routine. I’ve found that using lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizers works wonders for me, and incorporating AHAs and enzyme masks has helped smooth out my skin’s texture. Have you made any changes to your routine?

It’s comforting to remember that these skin changes are usually temporary and part of the beautiful journey of pregnancy. I’d love to hear from others! What products or strategies have you discovered that help manage oily skin during this time? Any recommendations you’d like to share?
