Comparing 10% vs 20% Azelaic Acid for Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation

Hi everyone! I’ve been on a quest to address some persistent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) and have come across a lot of buzz about azelaic acid. As a busy mom, I often find myself weighing the options between the 10% and 20% formulations. I’d love to hear your experiences with both!

From what I’ve gathered, the 10% version seems to be gentle and effective for many, especially for those of us with combination skin. On the other hand, the 20% formulation might offer quicker results but could also cause some irritation. With my medium warm skin tone, I’m a bit hesitant about using anything that might lead to redness or dryness.

If you’ve tried both concentrations, how did your skin respond? Did you notice a noticeable difference in fading your PIH? I’m eager for any tips or routines that have worked well for you, particularly ones that fit into a hectic schedule. What has been your experience?
