Comparing 10% vs. 20% Azelaic Acid for Hyperpigmentation

Hi everyone! I’ve been diving into the world of azelaic acid, specifically its effectiveness against post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). I know that there are two common strengths available: 10% and 20%. I’m curious if anyone in this community has experience with both and could share their thoughts.

I have normal skin with a light olive tone, and I’m really focused on achieving an even and fresh complexion. From my research, it seems that the 10% formulation is often a go-to for those with sensitive skin or beginners, while the 20% option packs a stronger punch and might yield faster results. However, I’m a bit concerned that the higher concentration could be too intense for my skin type.

Have any of you transitioned from the 10% to the 20% version? What changes did you notice in your skin? Additionally, for those who have used both, did you find a notable difference in how effectively they addressed PIH? I’d love to hear your experiences and any tips you may have!
