Hi everyone! I’ve recently been exploring azelaic acid as I’ve been dealing with some persistent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) on my oily skin. I’m aware that there are two main concentrations available: 10% and 20%. I’m curious if anyone has experienced a noticeable difference between the two.
From what I’ve learned, the 10% formulation is often recommended as a gentle introduction for most skin types. It can effectively address redness and uneven skin tone while minimizing irritation, making it suitable for daily use. In contrast, the 20% version is more potent and could potentially provide faster results, but I’m a bit concerned about possible side effects.
Have any of you tried both strengths? Did you see a significant improvement in your PIH with the higher concentration, or did the 10% work well for you? I’d love to hear your thoughts and any tips you might have!
